The KP-4000C is an elegant, in-wall color keypad/controller that is Native to the Network in that it does not require a black box to connect to WI-Fi. Today’s clients demand more options for their media and control than ever before. With a permanent connection to your client’s network, the KP-4000C is always ready with real-time information about their environment. Clients will also be able to access and display metadata from information feeds such news, stocks and devices like the PSX-2 media server.

The KP-4000C facilitates quick setup of two-way devices via drag-and-drop preprogrammed modules, for quicker remote setup. Customers will truly appreciate the metadata (album art/artist, Satellite station logo) displayed on the KP-4000Cs vivid color LCD whether it’s the dentists’ office or the local gym. When your clients adjust volume on a KP-4000C, they’ll always see a pop-up appear on the screen, so if you program it to control several zones, they’ll always know which one they are adjusting.

The KP-4000C must be connected to a Local Area Network (LAN) and the MRX-1 to enable all functions correctly. Additionally, in order to enable Internet features such as Information feeds, the LAN must be connected to the Internet. There are three ways to power the KP-4000C. The KP-4000C is a PoE (power over ethernet) device and can be powered by either a PoE Switch or a PoE Injector. This has the advantage that a single CAT5 cable supplies both data and power. The third option is to run an additional two conductor wire to the KP-4000C from a 12V wall adapter with a 1 amp rating.

The KP-4000C is available in white, black and light almond and installs in a standard 2-gang box.

Compatibility
Install with the Network Series Controller (MRX-1) and RF transmitter (RFTX-1). Optionally can be installed with an RFTX-1 alone to provide direct RF control instead of IP control.
