Harrison NY USA – URC, a global leader in premium automation and control systems for residential and commercial applications, is pleased to announce the release of the free VSSL A.6 two-way module for Total Control 2.0.
“We are excited to add the VSSL two-way module to the Total Control ecosystem. VSSL has created a great product that allows consumers to easily bring their favorite music into their homes from their smart devices,” said Lars Granoe, URC Vice President, Product Development.
The module was developed by Australia-based software development firm Chowmain, a certified URC third-party developer. VSSL two-way module development was sponsored by VSSL and is officially certified by URC for Total Control.
VSSL produces unique matrixed amplifiers with embedded streaming technologies built into each zone, allowing for independent streams of Google Cast, Apple Airplay and Spotify Connect. This enables users in different rooms to each listen to their own music streamed from iPhones, iPads, Android devices or even initiated by Google Home.
On top of streaming, the amplifiers also provide matrixed analog inputs which can be connected to various sources for distribution around the home, and bus line outputs which can be connected to other amplifiers and receivers.
“VSSL offers a unique solution to streaming audio using Airplay, Google Cast and Spotify Connect technology that is already widely accepted and adopted by consumers. VSSL combined with Total Control 2.0 will provide consumers with a premium, simple-to-use user experience like nothing else on the market,” says Dan Allen of VSSL.
The two-way module allows for control and feedback including:
- Input switching
- Discrete volume
- Remote streaming event tracking
- Now playing updates
